Originate at scale, without raising the capital
For specialist lenders with real origination capability who are prepared to stand behind the loans they write.
Your origination, our funding
An Approved Financier keeps doing what it does well. It finds the borrower, assesses the asset, structures the facility and services the loan. What changes is where the money comes from.
Instead of raising and holding capital against each loan, the Approved Financier introduces the loan to the programme. If the loan meets the standard it is funded through a Single Asset Trust, and the Approved Financier commits its own capital alongside the Fund in the first loss position.
The result is reach. An Approved Financier can write more of the loans it is already seeing, without the balance sheet that would otherwise be required to hold them.
Skin in every loan
The commitment is loan by loan, not across the relationship.
An Approved Financier carries exposure to each specific credit it introduces. There is no averaging of a weak loan against a strong one, and no portfolio-level guarantee standing in place of a position in the loan itself.
Approved Financiers also service the loans they introduce, and are expected to hold the licences and the operating record that the Licensee requires before an appointment is made.
One standard, applied consistently
Credit approval sits with the Manager and is applied the same way to every loan, whoever brought it.
That cuts both ways, and it is meant to. A loan that meets the standard is funded on the same basis as any other. A loan that does not is declined for a reason that can be stated. Financiers who run a disciplined process tend to prefer that to a funder whose appetite moves.
The lending parameters, the assessment method and the appointment process are provided to prospective Approved Financiers on enquiry.
